Wow, been while since the last post in here.
Did a quick road trip this fall, and saw prices from here in Idaho hovering around $2.45, all the way down to $1.89 in MN and the Dakotas.
Now, we are just barely above $2.00 around here, and dropping quickly.
Drove into Eastern WA today (Spokane). On the ID side of the border it was $2.09. On the WA side just a few miles away it was around $2.40. _________________ Stupidity should be a two minute penalty.

Here in San Diego the gas prices have pretty much been stable at $3.00 per gallon for the cheap stuff. Give or take a dime or two depending on which brand you buy. It been this way through most of Covid. _________________ Prosit!

We were at $1.86 to $1.99 depending on the county (Atlanta Metro) but for the last week every station within 90 miles in any direction it’s at $2.09.

There are different Summer and Winter “Blends” but I have no idea what that means.

Gasoline still at 1.79 here at Costco in flyover country. 😀
The average price in 1975? 0.34 cents a gallon.

What would that .34 cents be when calculated for inflation? Two bucks or so? I admit I am not smart enough to figure that one out. _________________ Stupidity should be a two minute penalty.

I only use premium. so...it's expensive. why bother to look at the price. it's sad that my modern 10.4 cr 2.4 light weight roadster gets about 8 mpg less than my bug did...and feels like half the hp too only gm could fuck up that bad. I should put a honda motor in it. or better yet a turbo...but thats too much like work. |

1975 is a bad year to discuss gas prices as it was very volatile
Two historical peaks in gas prices in constant dollars, one in 1980 and one in 2013, both about $3 a gallon on today’s money
The cost of transportation fuel per household is at a historic low due to gains in fuel efficiency, we pay less to get around than in any other time in history. _________________ .ssS! |

1.92 a gallon here in LA, lower Alabama, is the cheapest, generally 1.95-2.02 in the area. |

I recall seeing $1.89 in NOLA two years ago while visiting. Could not believe my eyes. _________________ Stupidity should be a two minute penalty.

Alright, so we have hit $2.55/gallon here and it only took about 5 weeks to get there from two bucks in mid January. About half of that increase happened before any of the refinery shut down issues in Texas.
We are actually above the highest point from last summer, during peak driving season.
Anyone else seeing a steep increase? _________________ Stupidity should be a two minute penalty.
