In "Rundown" with The Rock, Christopher Walken & Seann William Scott - the final big fight where Walken is finally handed his own ass, there is a late white over orange bay, late Ghia coupe, late bug and several VW powered jungle rails in many of the scenes. The Ghia had some featured scenes when SWS took cover, but the bus was just pretty back ground. _________________ '68 Roadrunner Double Door Camper

In the original Dukes of Hazzard episodes there are several bay sightings. For instance I just saw an episode from season 4 that has a nice blue transporter parked in the town and very visable during the scene. _________________ Lenny

Late last night watching reruns (I suppose they're all reruns!) of the Incredible Hulk there was a beauty Dove Blue on white bay... It just drove by but thanks to the beauty of the PVR I could rewind it and admire it in slow-mo... _________________ 77 Westfalia + 2 dogs = good life. |

I just had to steal that for my Avatar, just for a few days ....
I always notice Bay Windows in movies ... and of course the Sheryl Crow video for "Gonna Soak up the Sun" where she is surfing in Hawaii and strumming her Gibson in the back of a bay window ....< sigh > that fantasy keeps me going now that she is "back on the market" |

nertz ... ain't a bay window but a split window in the Crow video. Close.
I guess I was kinda "distracted" .... by somthun .. or someone in the video ...apologies to all ...
Mathematically the odds are that, with the sheer number of VW vans out there, one will turn up in every 10th movie made. One of those "six degrees of Kevin Beacon" deals |

A bay plays a pretty long part in a chase scene in a Chuck Norris movie-I cannot remember the name of it now, but the chase scene was fairly cool as the bay plows through obstacles and down flights of stairs etc. |

Saw "little miss sunshine" on friday. Twas funny, and pretty accurate about the whole Bus experience, but it did have some technical mistakes (like how to drive a bus with no clutch. _________________ No, you are not "tripping"

I noticed an orange & white, 1968~79 VW Type 2, high-top campervan, in the 1977 movie, "Blue Valley Songbird", starring Dolly Parton.
The movie was recently screened on British TV.
Regards.

I saw the first two "Dirty Harry" movies the other night and couldn't believe how many VW's were drivin around in the background shots. They were shot in San Francisco in the early 70's, the VW's heyday here. Was very cool to see brand new bay window busses drivin around. And, a splity get's rammed in a chase in Magnum Force. _________________ Kris
