my brother and i went VW hunting today and scored these two buses. the brown and white is a 66 that the lady let us take whatever we wanted from it but she wouldn't let us touch the 58. it was a little sad 58 anyways but it still had all the pop outs.
heres the 66 and its been there 18 years
heres the 58, its been sitting for 17 years
here are the rest of the pictures plus the pictures of our trip to salem last week.
http://gallery.benbloomberg.com/album16?page=1
we scored a whole camper kit, front and rear bumpers with the overriders, deck lid, rear apron, a bunch of dual port cooling tin, a new bus air cleaner. we're going back for all the windows some time next week. _________________ Arachibutyrophobia- Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of the mouth.

That '66 appears to be a hardtop walkthru Westfalia. Get every last camper bit you can from it!! |

I'm just curious,...what's the lady's deal with the '58? Does she want to let it rot away to nothing? Maybe sentimental attachment to her days on "Dead-Tour" or is that the first place she got her boots knocked? -K- _________________ '74 Westy

Hell, those are North East specials. Grab what you can and consider yourself lucky they're not dust by now. _________________ -=Rob

that's what she said, she couldn't get rid of it for some reason like that. i dunno i wasn't going to push it since we grabed a bunch parts out of that 66, like a full westy inerior, westy stool, rear hatch, bumpers, apron, interior lights, we'll proubly nab the doors and stuff off it at smoe other time. _________________ 77 Westy - Cape Cod Sage

Heck, save yourself the trouble, and just grab the whole thing!
Also, you could always try to convince her that you will lovingly give that sentimental 58 a good home, and save it from dying a slow rusty death...she might let it go to a good home... _________________ <---Air Cooled Search & Rescue Team - STICKERS & T-shirts for sale!

that looks like the old nj inspection sticker on the pass front window of both busses or is it from another state? |
Looks like Massachusetts, but it is difficult to tell in those pictures. |

The one to the right of the radio looks less like a gauge, and more like a badge of some sort...but it it difficult to see clearly. Maybe a clock? |
