Shocked
And they came in sets of five, so the buyer is still one shy and needs all the mounting hardware ( which is not cheap either) !
Shocked

Since those rings have a directional rotation, is the so-called 5th ring left or right sided? Confused

I have a factory 1953 Porsche parts book and it lists them in sets of five.
As far as what direction the fifth ring would be, I'm not sure, but then again, most tires today are rotational.
What rotation would the spare be ?
Unfortunately, I need a set of these for my 1953 Pre-A, and it's gonna hurt.
I love the way they look also.
Very Happy

Not even close Wink The "fins" on those are pressed in. On the 16" rings they are seperate pieces.

The "louvers " are pressed and functional on the 16" trim rings.
They are "bolt-on" and the head of each bolt resembles a louver.
And there are no 15" versions.

Thanks for the phote.......all the louvers are not pressed is a better statement. It was the bolts I was referring to. Sorry for the mis-understanding.

Man, am I ever glad I don't need to try to find a set of those fasteners. That would be a real mission impossible project doing that.

Bob, this ad appeared in an on-line Porsche classified :

Posted by Robert on February 14, 2005 at 04:13:06:

I have my fathers 5 (15") rudge knock off alloys with spindles and like new spinners.. hammer and tool kit for wheels...came from factory and taken off..also factory chrome wire wheels with complete hubs and wings....4(16") as new..$500 for rudge package and $750 for wires...thank you

I posted the ad on the Samba when I first saw it (they were already sold) and guess who claimed to have bought both sets ?
You guessed it, Glenn Pablo.
Hey Glenn lets see some pictures of you with those wheels !

No one has mentioned it yet, but I've seen two sets of those rings in person, and both times they were installed backwards-- once with Bob on a car that was worth more money than I even want to think about.

And you have to drill holes in your wheels to use them.
Sad
