Here is my new 67 I bought it a few months ago from a guy who had it for almost 30 years. It is solid and runs well, but needs work. It is pretty far from stock so I am going to run with it basically as is. Right now, doing some welding (luggage tray, battery) and then new interior, seals, etc. Going to be the wife's ride.

Here's another 67 I owned years ago. It was my daily-driver for about 4 years.

The front beam and the tranny are off now and the passenger side pan has been replaced. The pan has been blasted and powdercoated, just needs to be picked up from the powder coating shop. I cant wait to see that glosssy black. Cool She still needs a name, hmm......

I see all these 67's with early headlights, I like how 67's are different and not like all the others.

I hear that really early '67s had slanted headlights like the '66 (and the UK version). I also agree with you, putting earlier fenders on a '67 kinda kills part of the lure of a '67.

x2 and I am guilty of that with my first 67. It wasnt until later I realised the uniqueness of the 67 fenders and 1 year only parts so when my younger brother got his first bug (a 67) I made sure he didnt make the same mistake I made. Laughing
