Hey guys. My 84 westfalia is running fine at 145,000 miles on the original engine but someone recently asked me if I were interested in a 2002 subaru engine that they only want some body parts off the car.

If I were to take the engine, what would I want to remove from the subaru for a future swap into my westfalia?

get ya a cordless Sawzall and a pack of metal blades, and chop the car just behind the A-pillars.
Tow home and store for a rainy day.

In addition to the listed items, be sure to get the accelerator cable too. Is easier to adapt to the Vanagon and works better than the Small Car replacement.

You should take the transmission, starter motor, flywheel, clutch and exhaust headers as well.

If you have the donor car remove all the metric nuts & bolts you can grab as well as the wiring harness from the rear of the car for future use

GoWesty sells modified WBX'er, they will not have a donor list. If they do, I'll eat my hat (anyone else old enough to remember that saying? Laughing )

Remember it? Heck, I wrote it! Wink

But seriously, why would GoWesty publish a Subaru conversion donor list?
