And we also had Dustin Hoffman.
Don't forget that.

I think the 1600 club would be for any car that originaly came with a 1600 or not. You know to include goofs like you

Having read several of these threads from the beginning lately, still hard to get used to the idea that Russ won't be adding his "two cents" anymore. _________________ Sue

New York was the first state to require license plates, back in 1901. In those days, you had to make your own. Sears even sold Kits! Massachusetts was the first state to issue them in 1903.

I like seeing Russ' posts. It's strangely comforting in some unexplainable way.
Now, as to Fastbacks, I suppose if I had to have one, it'd be a Teak or Pigalle... or, if I wanted to foray into the ultimate in '70s poor taste, it'd be Russ' yellow Basic model with wood grain siding. Disco Duck.

Russ really loved that fasty, he told me all about its history, and had a big smile on his face. |
I actually tipped him off to it and told him he should snag it. I had been working with the PO via PM on trying to get his injection working but the guy just gave up. He told me he wanted to sell and how much and I PM'd Russ right off.
Glad he liked it. I know he was pretty tickled when he fixed it on the spot. Not so sure how the seller thought about that, though.
It seemed to be a really clean original car! _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Actually I thought he loaded it on the trailer (so as not to hurt the PO's feelings since he already haggled him down some more), but he drove it off the trailer after plugging the fuel pump spade connection back on (at the fusebox). In talking with his brother Bruce, Russ did that a lot. Including buying one off the back lot at the dealership he worked at (tightened the ground screw to the underseat relay), and drove the car home. The salesman was pissed. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I thought I’d drop pics of my new Squareback here, even though it’s a presumably dead thread. Just because...
This is my keeper. I have had two before, one I sold a ‘68 stock fuel injected one, and another a ‘66 that proved to be a little beyond my pocketbook, skills and time.
Now this....1968 1600L Variant.
