That is certainly interesting, ugly as hell, but an amazing piece of VW history none the less. Wonder if it will ever come out of its resting place? It should be in some sort of museum or something.

Have you checked out the tool board though? What limb would you chop off to have that in your garage.

I think its awesome that it survived all these years! Germany has had so many bombings, fires, etc that for anything to survive this long intact is a 'big deal'...for lack of a better term. Very Happy Ugly as hell but cool too.

Wow. That's truly incredible. I'm amazed those guys actually bought it and towed it out!

I bet that was one of the nicest homemade VW buses in East Germany. It seems to have held up real well. You'd just paint it like a house. Laughing

That KDF tool board is awesome. That's quite an increidle find, and one for the ages.

Cound this be the same bus! ? Any body have any info on these busses or I guess wooden replicas? Do you use latex paint for the exterior?
