I'm trying to get the lock and t-handle out. I have undone the 4 screws on the lock and removed the hex head nut / washer but it still wont come out, am I missing something? What do I need to do to remove it?

In our '56 Westy the t-handle shaft was stuck inside the latch and I had to totally destroy the latch to get the handle to come off. If I wasn't worried about preserving the original interior paint I would have heated it up and sprayed some water on it to cool it.

One of my buses had one that was stuck and I think that I, carefully, tapped it with a hammer.

Thanks Guys, I belt it with a hammer but it didnt budge so I split the casing of the lock and cut the shaft with a 3 inch zip disk. WHO's THE DADDY!

The door is for the wall so the lock was not needed!
