My eyes widend when I saw those pics, planning to go put in shows?

Are those intakes in front of the rear fenders or just a illusion from the sweet custom paint job?

Thanks for tyhe compliments. My first restoration was a 68 Jeffries Mantaray II Kyote. I wrote the Kyote website at http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Desert/7445/ My Kyote has so far been in 2 of James Hale's books. The Dune Buggy Phenomenon and Dune Buggies.

Next I completely built and modified the Phoenix

It has won many shows and was chosen to be the cover car for the Dune Buggy Archives 2006 Calendar

The Thing was my project from 2 winters ago.

It too has won a few times. It was recently repainted to change to true fire flames with more reds and much better colors.

The latest. My 74 Beetle aka the SCARAB just went for it's first drive on July 14. Hopefully it will do well in some shows.
Everything on the car is functional and illusonal. The air intakes are real and do in fact feed the engine bay, the side exhaust is fully funtional. Custom 1 3/4" exhaust....muffler is contained within the drivers runningboard.

The shell of the Scarab contains many pearl colors as well as color change paint. Looks wild in the sunlight.

Again Thank You for the compliments

I agree with the more pics, but guessing from the european styled plates, i'd say the date is set properly.... day/month/year.. Razz

Date is right
10 06 2006= 10th day June 2006, in Canada it is that way.

What do you mean European plates.
The front plate is partially concealled by the body.

More pics will be coming
72 914 2.0 T4 3bolt heads in T4 configuration, EFI from 77 Type 2
GM sending unit mounted in Bus tank with Ford 3.8 in tank fuel pump supplying 80 psi to the system. Powerband all the way.

Go for it Bryan67. I want to hear your thoughts.
vwdmc16 the rear wing is to help disguise the fact that the deck lid has been split and the lower half shifted back 6 inches to accomodate the engine
