| Hi, im new to the samba forums never posted a topic up before. My ? to you oval dash lovers is would you buy a oval with a cut stereo dash? And if so would you fix it? Im sure its not that big of a job any comments. |

Depends on what your intentions with the car is. If you plan on making an IASCA caliber competition car, install the head unit where it will be more ergonomically pleasing.
If you plan on restoring the car for a classic look, then restore the radio area.

the cut dash on a 50 year old car is the least of your worries.
heater channels, pans, bumper mounts, aprons, lower rear 1/4 panels, hood cracks, correct parts, clear title and matching #'s are what you need to be concerned about.
the dash would be a relatively easy fix.
