Beware of this guy. I am hopeful that this can be resolved, but here are the crack free lenses he sold me:

I paid big bucks for these lights and did not get what I paid for. Oddly the last e-mail I sent to him bounced..... coincidence?

I am posting now because it has been nearly 24 hours and no response. I am still hopeful that this can be resolved aimiably.

Here's the whole story, read from the BOTTOM UP:

Again, I have no interest in returning one lens in the set. The only way you can resolve this is to take them back and refund what I paid. If you think they are worth $450 as is, and have other interested sellers, then you should have no problems selling them again for that.

If you give me $100 for the crack in the lens and I do find another crack free one for that (unlikely) then I will return the cracked one to you.

The issue is you sent a lens that was cracked after stating they were crack free. You paid for insurance to cover shipping damage if that is what happened, so you have nothing to loose if that is the case. If you are unwilling to resolve this I will post this entire e-mail transcript on thesamba buyer feedback forum, with pictures, active PayPal's buyer protection program and investigate a mail fraud charge. That is not a threat, just informing you of what to expect next.

Like i stated, i looked at them very carefully before i placed the ad on samba, and there was no crack...The bodies are rust free, which is hard to find, as is the chrome rings that are super clean, with no tabs missing, so 450.00 is ok, considering i had another person from hawaii that emailed me a few times, wanting them, but they were sold to you. I sold the lights to fund christmas. I would be willing to send you 50.00, and you keep the lense, or like i stated, i would send you 100.00, if you return the lense. I think that is fair, considering you could sell that lense for 70.00 easy...

>
> If that is not an option to you then the only remaining resolution is for you to refund what I paid for the lights, including shipping, after I return them to you. Realize that how the lens got cracked is irrelevant to me. I paid for crack free lenses and I didn't get them. It is highly unlikely that UPS dropped them as the location of the crack would not have been an impact point and if they hit on an edge hard enough to crack, there would be a mark on the chrome trim and there isn't one.
>
> But again, I am not interested in debating how the lens got cracked. I received goods that were not what I paid for. If you truly believe that UPS cracked the lens then the recourse is simple, file a claim with them as you took out insurance on the package for just this reason. UPS mandates that the shipper file the claim, only after the goods are returned to him. I have been through this process before.
>
> Regardless, I will wait to hear from you how you intend to refund my money. As I stated earlier, I am willing to send the lights back to you first, if you agree to refund my money as soon as you get them. I will not wait for you to file a claim from UPS and get payment from them.. The insurance you took out on the package is contract between you and them, not me. To be fair in this unfortunate transaction however, I will not ask for the PayPal fees I will incur in taking payment back from you.

When i dropped them off at ups, they were just sitting on the counter, and they were going to package them when i left. Mabe they got dropped, i dont know. I will refund 100.00, when i recieve the cracked lense back, or i will refund 40.00 via paypal, and you keep the lense. I am soory that this went this way. I looked and looked at these in the light outside and did not see any cracks. Thanks

This crack actually goes all the way through the lens and can be seen and felt on the outside. The lights were packed very well, I am sure they did not get damaged in shipment.
>>
>> $450 is a lot of money pay for taillights without bulbholders, and I only did so on the assumption that they were as you stated, and they were not. While the crack may be small, it greatly diminishes the value of these lights. To resolve this I would ask that you either refund what I paid for the lights, or refund me $100 which is what I think I could get a crack free lens for should one ever come up for sale. PayPal could be used to transact this. If you want the lights back prior to refunding my money, that is fine.

They said that they will not go out till monday as that is when UPS picks it up from their store. It is kinda like mail box etc... Anyways, just wanted to let you know, and i did get 500.00 insurance on them in case something does happen. Thanks a bunch.

Hmmm, Yes i remember the deal very well. There will be no next time my friend, not in this lifetime anyways..... Very Happy . The 23 was very rusty on the lower 6 inches or so all the way around, but in todays prices, would have been gold. Boy i wish i still had it.

just picked up a sweet 59 Krew Kab from him this passed weekend.
The guy is proper and a man of his word. Jeremy could have sold it for way more$$$$$ but still gave me an opportunity to come up with the funds.

Great communication from the first deposit till the pick up Saturday night
10:45pm

I will continue to purchase with no worries.

Thanks J.J
