This thing has seen it's share of patchouli and Visine I'm sure!
After three years without a fatchick, we purchased a 74 Westy. I finally got the wife interested in the hobby, and now she can take part in the work ahead. I'm still surprised she's as involved as she is with this project.
Overall, the bus is solid and runs like a champ! No leaks - yet - and most everything is original, even the orange plaid stool.
Priorities other than fuel hoses & mechanical in general as req'd are fix fuel tank sender, (ugh!) replace the pop-top canvas, fix the sink, upholstery, body work, re-do cabinetry. I'll likely change the 1.8 to a 2.0 just for more nuts when I have a full load in her.
It's fun to drive the way it is, but eventually that orange just has to go for us. ORANGE...blame it on disco I guess!
It looks HUGE especially next to the '64 sedan in the shop. I think there's room for another bed UNDER this beast.
I'll be sure to do plenty of searches in the forums before posting any stupid questions.
Man, I better make sure there's no weed stashed in this thing somewhere!
Airing out the funk! _________________ www.zwerks.ca |
