The ex-Swedish-woods DeLuxe with license no "Z 77 26" is the one found north of Ostersund/Sweden by the Split Window Brothers, then sold to Jonas Uhland in late-90-ies, then sold to Thom Fitzpatrick in the US. I believe it was recently sold to the UK - right Rikki? |

Yup! That went to the UK. Rikki did a small write up about it in his bus corner of VOLKSWORLD Magazine.
That other RHD BD Delux you guys mentioned, the one Doug the Head was going to buy went to a cat by the name of Mario. He is in Mexico. |

Juanito- Mario used to call me from time to time to ask me for parts for that Bus. He would ask me stuff like "Do you have a front floor mat for a Barndoor for sale?" I was just laughing my ass off because not only was he asking for something very hard to find but he was forgetting to add in the fact that he needs one for a Right Hand Drive Bus on top of it. I wished him good luck. That was years ago before Fuentes was making his repros. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

The more he would ask for stuff the more I realized that he would likely end up doing far more harm than good for that Bus. He would always reassure me that he had "a really good body guy in TJ."

yes it is the same bus in both pics. i bought the bus from Merz in 98? "restored" it and finished 2000. drove it to the classic/octo 2000 then sold it shortly after .it resides in a garage in montana last i knew.this is it when i finished.it was featured in Volksworld as well.

woops, sorry about that. i guess i kinda overlooked your "quiz" part.
i have a hotvws dec.86 with a photo of it and listed as the owner fred thede.
if the lower old photo shows thin doglegs(hard to see in the pic) then maybe its not the same bus?my bus was surprisingly original and solid under all that cheese. needed barely anything but patched areas.i know ive seen that photo before and thought it was the same bus.in fact if you look real close in the rear window youll see the numbers 1953 in "house numbers"they are also in this photo im looking at which is indeed my old bus.
ive never been much into deluxes but i do wish i could get that bus back.

Nah MaHk! You don't want them deluxes!! There are too many of those Red/Brown buses around!!! It's all about Standards!!! When have you seen a nice Standard crusing around? Besides yours and Jim Bass' ?? If you really want one MaHk, a deluxe, I can connect you with someone. But you know those rides are BS and EXPENSIVE! TRUST FUND KID kind of money!!
Don't feel bad MaHk, cuz I sold a bus more rare then a BD Deluxe way back when? To fund the BABOON project. It was a 58 walk-thru 15 window. This was a long time ago. Imagine what kind of cash that bus would have brought in today's market. Especially with the buses booming across the pond! BOOM!!!!
On another note MaHk, you still planning on going to Camberg next year?? Don't be no Yutz!!!! The Undutchables can smuggle you across!! |

Shit, if that was a filth bag, what kind of terms do they use for some of the projects we've seen them tackling over there in recent times? _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

No shit. Volksworld is known for saying some strange fucked up shit without thinking. Remember the time Volksworld covered Kelley Park and took a pic of the Mexican guy sitting in the grass by his oval and it said "Lardy Beaners love their Lowriders and cervesa!" Not to mention what followed after that
