Hi Folks,
Found this in my dads pile of stuff when cleaning out.
Is it worth holding on to? I have no idea if it works or not. Yep he was a real hoarder...

Vintage radios like your dad's do indeed have value, but it would be best if you find out if the radio works or not before going any further. Having a non-working radio repaired can cost as much as the radio itself.
To help figure a value, here's some similar Blaupunkts for sale in TheSamba classifieds: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/search.php...=blaupunkt
Any radio for sale described as "not tested" should be assumed not to work. _________________ '63 Ragtop (current)

Thanks, for the info I'll check it out. Would that year radio work only on 6V or 12V also? _________________ -----Slava Ukraini-----

All Blaupunkts from that era were switchable between 6V and 12V. Depending on model and year of manufacture, there's either a slide switch hidden under a door on the side of chassis, or a tab that can be pulled out and reinserted located on the rear side of chassis with the voltage indicated on either end. Other older models needed to have the top cover removed and wires resoldered, according to the diagram printed on a sticker inside (or on top of) the cover. But all were switchable between 6V and 12 V. _________________ 1967 VW Convertible, owned /driven /pampered for 34 years.
