going once...going twice...going three times???

The Samba is the only VW forum I am registered on and post on. I do lurk several other VW forums from time to time to see what is happening. I have noticed that there are many people that ask a question on here, then post the same question on several other boards only to have one person respond on all 3 different forums with the same answer, and many others will also add the same comments on the different boards.

Whats the point in this??

Does it make you believe the person when you hear the same answer from the same person on 3 different boards.

i think its to get 2nd and 3rd opinions on a problem or to increase your chances on a quick reply if its urgent.

its like getting a quote from 3 different body shops in a way.

My guess is it takes two or three hammers on top of the head to get the point across. I like it when the same person re writes the question a little differently to ask the very same thing
