If your going to sell it on Ebay just make it a nice looking package, (it is a nice looking Van).
You can throw all kinds of different yr. stuff on it, I wonder if the buyer will be on here wondering about where the stove went.
I've seen nicer original full Westy aircooleds go for alot less on Ebay, silly fickel buyers.
All I need is the 100.00 screen(that's really to small to watch) and mine is about ready to sell. Laughing

Looks like a really nice and well cared for westy. I hate how people spend several paragraphs describing the sound system. I'm buying a car, not a radio. Rolling Eyes The stove should be there, or am I missing something?

It's a p22, a weekender not a P27 or full Camper, that's how the first ones were made, it's not a big deal but I don't see it mentioned anywhere, I hope the buyer isn't thinking it's a full westy, no propane system.
Look at the cabinet it smaller, hey there's no reefer either! Wink
the rear cabitnet is from a baywindow or a Asi camper It should have a full bed.

It is a "basic campmobile" westy. They came without stoves, had an icebox instead of a fridge, a full width rear seat and slightly different cabinets.

I see it now....took me awhile to see how short the cabinet is. I'm guessing the buyer is thinking it's a full camper. I didn't notice. It's still a nice westy. Price is higher than I would have thought.

Fresh paint almost always scares me off. Harder to find the battle scars.

I allways paint a project. Of course there are battle scars, you fix them, disclose the work and paint it. When I do a rust cut out and weld job it would be dishonest not to. In a nutshell almost all 20+year cars have rust and dents.

The van looks nice in the pictures, someone put some work into it.
The paint I'd have to see in person to judge, looks ok in the pictures.
I posted this about fickle buyers, not the van itself.
He's done some stuff to the van that I have thought of, but didn't want to do because I thought it would bring resale down, i guess I was wrong, For ebay anyway.
Here's an example:
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

the emblems are from a newer vanagon, and the old vans didn't have the vw in the middle, he also painted where the tailights are black.
IT looks nice, I though about doing the same thing, but went with making the original stuff look as nice as I could. Go figure. Rolling Eyes

I cant understand why the new stickers for the water and electric were placed on the body itself and not where they belong....on each of the flipper lids themselves.
Hm Hm Hm Hm........ Rolling Eyes

I own one of the P22s, and it's a stretch to say it's 'just a weekender'. There are advantages for some people to NOT have a propane system and it's appliances. The rear cabinet is stock and there is a full bed above it - just that the picture doesn't show it. You can tell by the way the top cabinet hangs down in the rear window, and where it's mounted relative to the tops of the windows.

I paint 'em too and I'd give an account of everything as well. I guess I'm jaded because I don't think everybody has the same "do the right thing" values as you or I. Fresh paint always make me think used car salesman.
