This is a good deal and a very nice van. Bummer to see original Syncro Solstice buddy Bryan leaving the fold.

I never heard from the seller on one of my enquiries. Did anyone pick up any of these? _________________ Currently -> Frida: 87 Tizian Red (mostly) Vanagon GL Westfalia w/ 2.0L ABA conversion

If Dobryan's deal goes through, I might be storing it for him temporarily.
Perfect opportunity to make my wife think I just bought a 4th van! She is totally going to flip out!!!!

Congrats! Glad it's going to one of the good guys. I must admit my first thought was to pounce. I want so badly to hoard but have no space. _________________ Joe T.

I owe it to a fellow samba member who PM'd me early yesterday when they noticed the ad. _________________ Dave O

Yes, it was a samba team effort. Thank you ELO78 for the keen eyes on the Craigslist ad all the way from IL, and thank you to raoul mitgong for doing the PPI and helping me with storage until I can fly into Denver mid-April to pick it up. Beers are on me.
$2900 and it is all mine now. Paid for and the title is on its way to me tomorrow....
I will use this bus as the bones for a NAHT camper build for me to ship to Europe May 2019 and keep at a storage facility outside Amsterdam so I can use it as a base of travel/camping in Europe for many years. Guess I better start a build thread.... _________________ Dave O

This idea makes me think of having one of these stationed in South America. As appealing as driving there sounds, being there is better. Hmmm… _________________ Currently -> Frida: 87 Tizian Red (mostly) Vanagon GL Westfalia w/ 2.0L ABA conversion

Awesome, Dave! I figured that's where this van was heading. Looking forward to seeing how the build goes for you! _________________ '84 Vanagon GL 1.9 WBX

That is sweet! Keep us updated on the transformation. Perhaps a build thread that would eventually include such things as what it takes to ship, and paper it over there. One day I'd consider that sort of option, if I eventually succeed at making actual profits.
