Dang, three days and it’s still here?

If it’s what it says it is - “No rust” at $13k? Then even with just rear locker that’s a sweet deal. _________________ '91 Westfalia, Bordeaux Red Pearl 2.1L 2wd Auto

I saw the van removed from the Vanagon Owners facebook group. Someone said it is very badly rusted. But the pics looks decent to me! _________________ Brandon

'87 Vanagon (Wolfsburg, I believe) 5k
Seems too good to be true, so I contacted the seller. He said its leaking coolant, took it to a VW mechanic and apparently its the water jacket seal.
Owner has been using "coolant seal" and it has been improving.
113K on the odometer before it stopped working. Estimated 20K since then.
What do you guys think?

$5k for a van that may need new heads, has a bondo job on the passenger side rear wheel well, and a salvage title? No. _________________ '87 GL w/ Reimo top |

The seller just sent me two pictures before/during repaint. Does it look like it have serious seam rust before? Do you think the rust issue has been addressed properly?
Thank you!

Yep, Euro panel van with modded slider door and other hacks.
No way to know if whoever was doing the work did a good job.
It is obvious that there was seam rust, but again, whether it was properly cleaned out, treated, and prepped for paint correctly is impossible to tell from a couple pics. _________________ Currently:

I love it! Wanted to do that to the slider on mine. Great mod!
Please buy and or send pictures.
Looks like they dug out the seams so I’m sure they are fine.
Is it really a syncro? Or did they add the gas filler. _________________ VW LT40 build. Like a Vanagon but 30% larger in every direction and 40% slower even in metric.

Hacks? Check out the link above. This T3 was clearly modified by a coachbuilder, as were many Transporters.
It would be cool if someone were to repurpose it and able to utilize the original build access doors. Price seems decent, not cheap but fair. |

Again. Love the slider door mod. Imagine the space gained just on the inside of the door.
And thanks for the pictures. _________________ VW LT40 build. Like a Vanagon but 30% larger in every direction and 40% slower even in metric.

not mine
It is Bronze - and belongs to an elderly woman in So. Eugene. My guess is that she is too old to camp in it. I spoke to her a year or 2 ago and she said then that loved it, drove it everywhere, etc. Sign on it says it needs brake work.
might be on CL but I dunno |
