I find it amusing that it has an 85 2.1 in it and gets 25 mpg at 75 |

The bed upholstery, seat covers and carpet had to be closeouts from a couple of decades ago. Nice splotch on the fridge.
The pattern of the carpeting is stylin', no?
25 mpg at 65 to 75 mph? Hmmm...
Not with a ten foot pole.
Cheers,

That looks like a mobile home I owned once.
Four pages and I've yet to see a "good deal"

This Syncro was on Ebay but I guess didn't sell since it was relisted today. I talked to the dealer a few weeks ago, he said he can't "verify" the miles, but thats its a 2 owner form the East Coast and that the sliding door and rear panel(?) were repainted. Never seen this color, kinda like it. No locking rear diff. I think they were asking $6900, he told me $5800 over the phone...

wow..you guys are harsh.. i was reading some of the posts about that westy..
i have a '84 passenger van...it has fiberglass bumpers, sideskirts, air dam, interior from a 89 wolfsburg with jumpseats..etc..etc...
does this mean it was wrecked? pleeeeease... its called UPGRADES.
you can put square headlights and fiberglass bumpers on any year van. UPGRADES. he prolly changed the color from that aswan (aka asswipe) brown to that copper color.. smart idea since aswan brown is fugly.. color change was a UPGRADE..
spare tire mount was his own upgrade, even though the way he mounted it wasnt that smart (prolly couldnt afford the gary lee rack?) might just wanted more ground clearance on his 2wd for camping off road.
since when does a few upgrades with later model parts make a van "totalled"? please
stock vanagons are BORING.. change is good |

Aswan Brown is the Holy Grail of Vanagon paint. You should UPGRADE your opinion. |

I love that: Serious inquiries only!!!
When I was in sales, I used to stand at the front door and tell people
"If your not going to buy don't even come in and look, I don't want you wasting my time". Funny thing was I had alot of time to waste after the store closed. |

this is a really nice looking syncro weekender in Victoria, BC where I live.
http://victoria.craigslist.org/car/264956481.html
Its got a really cool looking upper tent that goes on the roof. If I didn't already have a van and wasn't poor I'd be over this one (depending on the engine work problems that it states ) |

It has been for sale here for a long time. It is just a window van that someone bolted a Westy top to. Maybe if they had painted it blue, it would be a better seller. I saw inside pictures once, I believe and the A/C ducting is just cut off. It is kinda rigged. _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!
