Anyone interested in going down to the COOL Monterey instead of the HOT Sacramento Bug-O-Rama to cruise with the M.P.A.S. (Monterey Peninsula Aircooled Society - http://www.mpasvw.com ) 5th Annual Vintage VW Cruise of Monterey.
Come and join in on one of the most beautiful coastline cruises in the world. The cruise will take you along Fishermans's Wharf, Cannery Row, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Lover's Point, Asilomar, and into the beautiful Carmel Valley.
Afterwards, we will end up at the Carmel Valley Recreation Center off of Carmel Valley Road, where you can display your car, and meet the people behind them. So polish up your Vintage Volkswagen and enjoy a great day!
Meet: Behind Mervyn’s at Del Monte Shopping Center at 10:00 a.m.
Cruise scheduled to begin @ 11:00a.m.
Commemorative dash plaques are in the works for this event.
When: Sunday, September 3, 2006. This will be a potluck event!
Bring a dish to share, personal drinks, and eating utensils.
Directions: Hwy.1 (south) - Take Soledad/Munras Ave. exit. Make a right at the stoplight. At the second stoplight, make another right, into the Del Monte Center.
Follow all the way back to Mervyn’s parking lot.
Maps of the cruise route will be on hand.

Yo Jim! Last year I went to the back of Mervyn's and waited for a while. Then I left and on my way out, you guys were all parked on the other side of the mall in front of Starbucks. Probably because of the construction back there. I bet we would all fit very nicely back there now with the new parking lot. Mmm, Cold Stone!
