There is a guy that had one in southpark seattle for his buisness. White in color. I asked to buy it and he smiled that smile that sayed "oh it must be wednesday" (happens every week).
Anyway i think it got wrecked because he now has a eurovan 2 door.

I sometimes think this would be cool for a camper and then realize, that there would be no room for the stove unit of a full Westy, or the flip up table of the "weekender" basic camper interior.
It would be cool with a side tent that you did not have to enter through.
Of course this feature is standard on every min-van for the last 10 years or so. _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

There was a double door bench seat Vanagon D for sale on craigslist FL about a year ago. I almost picked it up. A double door with 2 tents and a slide out kitchen with TDI would have been my idea _________________ 1961 Westfalia SO23 Mango Green/Seagull grey

Can you still throw a rock and hit ten? I think it would be interesting to own one. I have a weekender so swaping that interior into a double slider would be sick. |

I saw it a couple years ago, in South Seattle area called Top Hat. It was a light yellow-beige. A panel (not the subject of this thread). _________________

I imported one through Busman 3 years ago. It was not as advertised. Sold it for a nice big loss. Still neat.

Man. I was really torn on the double doors but was thinking how cool it would be to have an oddity (in the US anyway) like that. In retrospect I probably should have! _________________ Joe T.

I have thought long and hard and I think you could make some really slick stove and deep sink units that are installed using the same bolts as hold on the brackets for the jump seats that could fold up behind the front seats when the jump seats are out. |

I think I might have stared longingly at this one also. Beautiful van. I see a lot of vans I would love to own, but I don't have the cash yet to get them.
Actually I just checked in my watched ads and your post is still in there! I totally reached out to you and asked about it! I'm glad you sold it. How low did it end up going might i ask? |

jlrftype7 - It was just a bench seat. It seemed to have a life as a delivery van. There was a toggle switch to turn on the hazards w/o the key in the ignition. It also had a webasto petrol heater. Non-locker as well. The roof vent was pretty gaudy but moved a decent amount of air in or out. The issue was there was obvious rear end damage that was repaired. There were paint bubbles around some of the window seals. These were things that could have been easily seen but never disclosed to me. The double slider was great though. Really a neat thing.
