I've always liked the old batteries. I'd like to find one for my 56 Ghia.
The particular battery in the picture would be had to refurbish. There is an older style that has a type or tar across the top. You can melt this off and then they replace the core. This is typical for early American cars if the case is not cracked.
Nice battery even if you were only to display it.
At one time someone made decals that went on the side with the USA outline and VWOA. Haven't seen these for a while either. |

that battery is a 60s or 70s replacement battery. it was sold through the VW dealer network.
when your 6V VW was new, it would have most likely had a BOSCH battery or perhaps a VARTA. _________________ .

Those old batteries don't actually work do they? Maybe you can recondition them. _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]

I suspect there are quite a few people like you. Some folks want that original look. They will pay for it too. _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]
