That screen looks like you could drop it down with the Safaris open and not take a rock in the teeth as you are cruising in the Outback. Cool as !

If anyone has a break-down, I would be interested to know how you tell an early BeKoWa rack vs. a late one.

It is steel vs. plastic clamp parts? Which is which?

From what I've seen: Early clamps have brass threaded studs and brass wingnuts. They also have the early Logo, which is more "Germanic" looking.
Later clamps have the plastic wingnut and stud. And the later logo.
Then there are the original replacement clamps. Same finish, no logos, plastic wingnuts and studs.
I think I have at least one of each style, I'll try and take comparison picture.

Could somebody on this list make a drawing of the roof rack in the deutsche bundespost barndoor? A copy of it is going to be manufactured for my 1951.

Alternative any tips on where to get a drawing would be much appreciated.

A drawing of Clara's barndoor roof rack (a little smaller) would also be just fine (see message Sat Nov 05, 2011 6:41 pm)

Alternative kind question to the audience: does anyone knows/guesstimates what is the thickness/diameter of the tubular material/pipe/tube the roof rack is made of. We have guesstimated to slightly less than an inch (63/64) or 25mm. What do the experts say? *thanks* Very Happy

I need drawings for the barndoor roof-rack in this pics. Maybe Clara who owns one of the barndoors has one. Is there anyone that could do the drawing? I believe many bd could be equipped with this og looking beautiful roof-rack. Mine will, in any case, as soon as I have the drawings. Thanks beforehand for all feedback and help.

The only difference is I wouldn't like to drill the roof but use the drop list as support instead.
