I'd also be interested in the passenger vert visor.

sorry to hijack this thread, but i wanted to ask about a sunvisor i recently got.

it is made by Hagus, has the straight edge (not curved like on ovals) and logo, and the flat lip. is it a period accessory also for splits? i thought splits had only the no-lip perspex sunvisors as accessory, just like on the drivers side.

thanks

i know pics are not really clear but you get the idea. the lip can be seen in the hagus logo pic

It's identical (minus the logo) to the driver's side visor on my '53 oval. If I were guessing, I would say it was an accessory passenger side visor for '53 and possibly '54. I don't think it was for a split, unless you consider the '52/'53 Zwitter.

as i wasn't 100% satisfied by Mr 53Oval's answer, i thought of beating the subject till dead. what i come up with, sorry for the long post:

1. my sunvisor... Hagus made, definitely passenger accessory side.
flat edge on one side, no edge on one side. Hagus logo.

2. split sunvisor. flat on both sides, no lines no ribs. big head rivets on one side.

3. zwitter early oval , with some mild bent and coarse texture.

4. oval with a round stamped edge. we all know about those. also as a curiosity, some have the outer edge a bit curved not straight.

case study:

in this thread earlier, Brezelwerks stated:
The only style I've had with a slight incation of a raised lip on one side which were correct for a split were manufactured by Hagus, a period correct replacement parts maker for these, and those were also a dark green, and that one I have is an NOS accessory passenger visor on my 50, you can see these visors in a picture in my gallery. Here's the shot of the set in my car as mentioned, note the color of both, and the slight raised lip on the accessory Hagus visor:

this is the pic :

so the bottom conclusion... types of sunvisors i know so far:

are there any other types? 57 and down?
can someone do a similar post and show us the vert sunvisors details? edge, maybe even size? i'm sure this thread could become a reference for sunvisor doubts. and if i stated something wrong, don't let me stay in the dark...

Some of you '53 guys get in here and explain your visors. My OG visor is flat edged not textured and IDENTICAL to your Hagus without the Hagus name. They could be twins......... Very Happy

This is the setup in my Oct. '53 Oval. It sat in a barn/shop since '74 before I acquired it. Drivers side has the rolled lip and the passenger side is completely flat.

Curious, Is there anyone reproducing "high quality" late oval visors with pressed edge - driver and passenger side?
Or opinions on the typical supplier quality?
