Old Hippy type musician needs buggy to commute from Pheonix
to beach at Rocky Point Mexico (500 miles round trip) each week.
I prefer an old FG model or Baja, street legal (the uglier the better)
will consider rails. A 1500 engine will do, but must be mechanically
strong, fo frills. Something I can leave anywhere without fear when
I'm too drunk to find it. Something that will fit right in when parked
next to my 1972 trashy Winnebago at the beach. The key word here
is "Cheap." I don't want to spend more than one or two grand.
And if you do me a good deal, you might have an open invitation to
visit if you're not too weird and you don't puke inside the trailer
(go outside and feed the gulls). Anyway, this is "Soon to be Gringo
Beach Trailer Trash" in Rocky point. Help me find a VW beater. Email me.
Thanks Samba, Michael. |

I've been down to rocky point. That shits nuts down there.
Look for a bug with beat up fenders, dents, etc. NOT A SUPER BEETLE!!!! Buy it for a couple hundred, buy a baja kit for next to nothing, and cut that ugly dude up with a sawzall, and get wild!!!
I'd actually stear clear of any hopped up engines due to higher compression ratios. The gas you get down there is crap and will never run a high compression engine.
I Live in souther new mexico, If I see anything cheap around here I'll let you know! |
