The car is in the garage, up against the wall, with a cover and a bunch of stuff around it.

Find a good place and you'll need custom length hoses.

No need for a fancy bracket.

With due respect, that looks like the oil return line is resting directly on the "J" tube, or the exhaust outlet.

How can that be safe? Or cooling?

Maybe it's just an odd picture angle but I don't think I would want my oil lines to rest anywhere near the hot exhaust?

OK, I admit I'm one of those "purists" who don't feel the need for aftermarket coolers, but then, my engine and system is bone stock.

I guess I'm just overly cautious.....

It's not, just the angle of the picture.

No secondary cooler, just the remote filter. Engine is a 2180, 9.5:1 and has just the stock offset cooler and all factory tins.

Best thread on this topic I've found.
What's the consensus on the oil lines?
Obviously we don't want them touching the exhaust.

I'm mocking up the Exhaust, and the Extractor headers get awful close...
Should I use some tie-wire to help pull them closer to the motor? Or mock up a heat shield between the header and the oil lines? Something like a folded piece of aluminum tin held on with some hose clamps??
(also, yes, I should probably ditch the header wrap... because... Rust...)

Appreciate your thoughts on this.
