I have been looking for the breaker-box for my '74 westy for over a year now. I saw a few come and go at seemingly inflated prices here on the Samba, and on eBay. Mind you, I only needed the breaker-box, not the outside receptacle or any of the other wiring. And it had to be (for me) the dark brown box with the blue breaker switch, because I tend to be a stock-nazi.
A few weeks ago I found a whole set (breaker-box, lines, external receptacle) listed on eBay. The bidding went far past my limit quickly, so I looked again at the Samba classifieds.
I located Tim's ad, found the advertised price ($25 shipped) more than fair, checked out his payment and shipping details, PayPaled the money to him with the required information, and had my part delivered 8 days after payment was sent, which I consider very timely. I will definately do business with Tim Sunde again.
After reding some of the previous posts in this thread, I can only offer this advice, READ THE AD, Tim tells you exactly what he needs in the way of information to locate the part you are buying, and to ship it to you. Thanks Tim, I look forward to doing business with you again in the future, too bad I didnt find you sooner _________________ Give a man a fire and he's warm for the day. You're welcome.
It's an honest mistake that folks do not know that Paypal is engineered for Ebay - not buying ad parts.
I'd rather write a few clarifcation notes and ship the wrong part - I'm not into making enemies.. the VW world is too small.
I'm clearing out space from my private stash.. there will be more parts coming out for trade.

I just received a set of fiberglass fenders from Tim. The transaction went smooth and the fenders arrived in great shape due to the care taken when packed and shipped. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with Tim again. _________________ Mike |

Received three different parts from Tim today, a single port intake manifold, distributor, and a generator pedestal. All were well packed, shipped quickly, and Tim was very helpful, and also very cautious, to make sure I got just what I wanted. He will be my first choice to email when I need more parts.
Thanks Again Tim...........................Dave Cook in MI |

Sorry about the delay on replying to these - I've been working in a high-secuirty customer site. They jam Email and phones.
I'm glad you all received your parts promptly - as earlier noted, some parts require a 10+ days due to packaging and my schedule.

BAD MAILING ADDRESS - Edward Hatcher
If you move - file for forwarding address service with the United States Post Office.
Then edit your mailing address in Paypal.
Unfortunately I had to pay to get a properly address part back from the postal service - I'll then have to pay to send it again. _________________ Dub Infested- PART WI$H LI$T-CLICK

Great seller! Answered all questions thoroughly and promptly. Also helped ensure the right part was asked for and worked with me to make sure I was happy with the purchase before shipping it. Will definitely buy from again! |

Apologies to Jerry Longden
The 12v Wiper motor was paypalled by Tom Morgan at the same time you did (#344).
You have received a complete refund.
I have other 12v wipers if interested. _________________ Dub Infested- PART WI$H LI$T-CLICK |

ERIC RATHMAN - BUMPERS
Eric.
Please advise if you want to add shipping costs for your bumper. You paypalled for them (incomplete information). Brought back the wrong bumper.
Guessing your bus bumper would cost $100 to ship - please advise.

Some folks ask why I'm sooo picky on exacting details.
This is a snippet of Sunday's shipping.
Most of these parts were free... buyer pays shipping

Gildas - FRANCE
Your hood is packed and ready to go.
Your shipping quote was estimated at $100. Please review the quotes below - Please advise if you want a complete refund or if you want to add $400 USD for shipping.
I've tried the following
United States Postal Service = NO Shipping
UPS ~$500
Fedex ~$500
DHL ~$500
I'll try NWA Next

Just concluded - parts received -my first, but definitely NOT my last transaction with Tim - most pleasant experience I must say.
Aside from this, all I can say is...
There ain't too many like Tim out there...
GREAT parts at incredible prices.
Prompt honest, concise communication.
Fast shipping of well packed items.
NO B.S.
Give the man room to work, and he WILL work for you... and with you.
You'd think he's a fool... but he's really just a nice, honest person the likes of whom you don't meet many of anymore in this world... of a character sorta like our Beetle - practical and to the point.
thank you Tim - Marco |
