anybody knows how many coathangers are out there for the early vw ??
i am attending an "autoclasica" booth and found a very rare hanger with a hook that inserts on the roof`s inner side rib and then it is fastened by a screw , it has a folding arm with a grey rubber on the top .
any help will be greatly apreciated

I've seen two styles. The first one was secured with 1 screw under the center section of the hanger. The other style I've had two mounting screws & doesn't loop under the headliner. _________________ 1947 Typ 11a

I have sold several at $150 but the rubber has to be the correct tapered kind, not the simple round strip put there when the seller does not have the real stuff. Without the rubber or incorrect rubber. $100 tops.

I have both the cross-bar (long) and the one-sided (short) versions of the coat hanger. The smaller one looks really "cute" and is a real conversation piece when I have friends over.

Notice this coay hanger has the correct rubber strip on top-
Too often this rubber strip comes unglued. When it is lost, there's another rubber strip below it that resembles a bead. The hook that Skim pictured above has the top rubber strip missing. _________________ 1947 Typ 11a

did they make coat hangers for VW busses, if I remember right, there was a titan red 67 21 window bus on hotvws magazine (cover), wayy back i think late 80's or early 90's , that same bus had coffee maker etc, had a coat hanger like that in the bus. _________________ North Hollywood, CA
