This has to be one of my favorites.

I would copy that car down to a T.. but I don't think it would be right.

I love the cartoony look on this one with the huge headlights. Probably a late 20's or early 30's big car light, Studie, Packard or the like.

Honorable mentions.

I think this guy has a good eye for stance and shape. I like the whole superbeetle front clip mounted backwards. If you forget the decklid is a superbeetle hood, it looks good imo.

I like the added length on the doors too. Needs to be finished.

I love the crazy-ass width of the front axle on this one. More rake, the radials have got to go and the color scheme is ick. I like the shortened rag though. "one fold" Laughing

Another flipped super clip. With the inner fenders smoothed out, and something done with the area under the hood, I think it could look sweet. The hood just looks right on the ass end of the car. Plus, you've already got your exposed, hot-rod-looking hinges for the suicide doors...genius.

Hello all, I am reading this topic with a lot of enjoyment first off. I do have a couple aof questions, I am noticing that some of the cars are running the type 1 front end and the other ones are running almost a ford style front , my questions are where do you get the ford style, how muc, and which one is better? Thanks for all the pictures and thanks to those who reply.

Chris

www.socalook.com has the kit to bolt up a straight axle, but the axle, radius arms and steering is all up to you. I'm sure the factory IFS is safer, but don't look half as cool.

This car is having an identity crisis. The coolest volksrods still look like VWs. This one is trying too hard to look like a '32 Ford.

It still looks pretty good.

But you are right about it maybe trying too hard. Atleast it doesn't have the Ford front end.
