Found it... I never remember where this VR thread is located....
I did a Volksrod search and found quite a few threads, it would be nice if they where consolidated into one little forum... which is one reason why there aren't has many posts, since you have to search.
If I want to read about Bay's I can find it easily and get ideas and such for my panel. I want to get ideas or learn stuff on my 67 I know where to go. If I want to know about Volksrods, I have to sift through a forum of assorted discussions on various rides, or one small thread on the "Site" forum.
A Volksrod forum will never be as big as many on here, but it will also not be the one with the least activity... maybe eliminate "Other VW Vehicles" forums since it gets so little action? Rename it Volksrods... _________________ Don't harsh my mellow...

I have found over 40 threads related to Volksrod one way or another in one forum... and sadly many times someone says go to www.volksrod.com or why would you do it.
I don't think chasing people away to other sites is in the best interest of TheSamba or the advertisers on here.
Volksrod... It's a VW that has been modified... like so many other VW's on here.
PM with links coming soon _________________ Don't harsh my mellow...

Lets keep this going - And I have to admit that I have referred a lot of people to Volksrods, but personally I spend most of my time on here.
I think that there has been more activity this time than when the topic was first brought up a couple years ago - and its likely because this segment of the hobby has grown. I know I have seen more at shows over the last couple years.
Come on Everett - lets do it! _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

Nothing... enjoy what we have so far, keep posting, and adding to the approprioate Volksrod topics, (in whatever current forum its in), and dont be scared to start new build threads or new topics.
I mentioned in the "site" Volksrods topic, I feel its the negativity from the traditional VW crowd, towards the out of the normal box/mold style (here on TheSamba) that keeps more VR topics from being started and posted.
The decision makers know... now its their decision.
So the bottom line______..The Volksrods and topics are welcome, just dont let the nah sayers and Volksrod haters scare you away.
Everett (TheSamba.com) has never turned the Volksrods and topics away that I'm aware of. Thats all that really matters IMO.
So lets all get off the podeum and get back to building, driving, and posting the fun we are having in our cars....

Maybe folks - just maybe this will happen - I look at the "other VWs" catagory and there has been a lot more activity for Volksrods over a shorter time period ....Hey what if that catagory was simply renamed "Volksrods and other VWs" - Then the existing topics could be moved there... - Assuming this would be easy for the Admins to do? _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

... why does that sound so familiar.. Oh yeah... (from the "site" topic).
EverettB wrote: |
Feel free to post about it in Other VW since that is a low traffic section anyway.
There is nothing stopping you from talking about it on the site - there doesn't have to be a dedicated section to start discussing it. |
VOLKSWAGNUT wrote: |
How about adding Volksrods to the Other VW Vehicles title and move the appropriate topics into that section. It will help consolidate.......
...My guess a change will either help or hurt the post additions. Its a lightly traveled forum now as mentioned earlylier in this topic. Maybe the change could help it.. That is of those in the "other vw vehicles" forum don't freak out...

As Yogi Bera said - Deja Vu all over again Honestly - I hadnt caught that in either of your posts. But since all three of us came up with the same idea within a matter of hours, it must be really great or we are actually clones that are infiltrating thesamba ranks ..... _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

Nice roadster... not a fan of the front pan or lack of extension... but we are talking old school so it is still cool. _________________ Don't harsh my mellow...
