lor=darkblue]Hi everybody,

My name is Hugo and I’m from Portugal.

In a near future I will start a new project, 1953 Panel Van BD, and off course I will need a little help with some details.
For now my question is:
This model use interior mirror?

Thanks in advance.

Didn't have them installed at the factory- only on Deluxe models. But it could be added later as extra.

olor=darkblue]Hi everybody,
This van in the ‘80s took this stupid paint, but fortunately has never been remounted again. It was stored in a warehouse for the last 20 or 30 years, and for that reason I can buy it last year in this magnificent state.
Here it is!![/color]

Well, it might look a bit weird, but I just LOVE the paint scheme. it looks like a big Tekno or Lego toy ! It is so freaky, let it alone and roll it like that for some time ( can repainbt it later anytimes)! and put a red lightning graffitti on the side panels ! Very Happy just thinking...what a nice project

lor=darkblue]Hi everybody,
Thanks for all comments. Very Happy
I’ll try to keep this baby as left the factory 60 years ago.
After the restore I will put same old sign in the side panels to advertise my spare parts shop.

@ Is it the one who was for sale on "custojusto" many weeks ago? – No, was a friend of mine that gave me the opportunity to buy it.

As soon I have news I will place some pictures.

The van looks very fresh Hugo, considering it has been stored for 20 years.
Re-commissioning should be straightforward as bodywork looks sorted.

What is the history on it? Do u have pics before it was repainted?

Also I don't think the 53 panelvan came with a visor from factory.

color=darkblue]Hi everybody,
@ vwsplitvan, I don’t have photos before the restoration, because I only bought this van last year.

Wow that bus is solid! I say enjoy the paint the way it is too, at least for a while.

Kinda reminded me of this t-shirt.
