Hiya guys, I've been told the Thing used a Ghia pan. Any truth to this or just an old wives tale???? Ol' John

the ghia pan will fit, but the thing pan is reinforced. depends what you want to do with the car. a streeter wouldn't matter as much as an off-roader.

A thing pan is not a ghia pan, although they have the same dimensions.
A convertable pan is no different from a coupe pan on a ghia.
A thing pan has reinforced front and back brackets off the front axle to bulkhead bolts and all across the rear torsion housing.
