Hi All -

I've searched the threads with no luck.

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=483486&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Has anyone installed a GW swingaway bumper mount on an RMW Twin Peaks rear bumper?

GW swingaway:

RMW Twin Peaks rear bumper
http://www.rockymountainwesty.com/Vanagon_Twin_Peaks_Rear_Bumper_p/rmw-tp02.htm

I'm interested in this option because I like GW's option to add Yakima bike racks to their universal carrier:
http://www.gowesty.com/product-details.php?v=&id=23844

I like the idea of the Yakima bike racks on the vertical universal carrier because a) it swings away (my Yakima hitch mount does not) b) it doesn't obstruct the taillights.

I've also sent this question to GW but wonder if anyone here has insights.

Thanks!

Bump, reviving this.
I’ve got an aircooled model, so i can’t use something like the van cafe swing away as id have to cut my d pillar vent/exhaust open.

Ive got the twin peaks rear bumper and 16” rims. I hate driving around with no spare.
