I have a new wiper motor in my Thing, the yesturday, the wipers stopped moving, and I can hear the wiper motor still working. Any ideas? HELP!! I looked into my Thing Manual, but does not give advise on repair, but just electrical work to the motor itself. Anyone have a diagram on repair on a wiper motor. I am sure something has come lose inside, which is keeping the motor from actually turning the wipers, but I dont have a clue about removing it to find out whats wrong. Again any help would be nice.

Two things to check out- first check to see if the left wiper arm is tight on the spindle- if it is loose, the spindle will turn, but the wiper won't move, so the right wiper won't move either. if that checks out, then it has to be an internal motor problem, although,if the motor is working, then i am mystified. |
