Any T3ers/1500Club planning on going to the Coronado Speed Festival on 7-8 October 2006? Will be in Coronado California, on the Naval Air Station. Along with the racing, there will be gathering of local and regional car clubs for a car show/awards. Anticipated to be the largest car show in San Diego history featuring a variety of cars. Some interesting things to note: Admiral Nathman (4-star) will be racing a BMW motorsports team '68 Cunningham BMW 2002ti, various oldies including a '52 C-Type Jaguar (1 out of 53 made), a '70 Plymouth Superbird, about 200 Porsches from the Porsche club, and for $50 cash, Dyno Shop of Santee will give dynamometer testing and printouts of HP, torque and air-fuel ratio. This may be short notice, and it is a 2-day event, but figured I'd get the word out to see if anyone would be interested in attending under the 1500 Club banner. Details: www.coronadospeedfestival.com, and I know one of the organizers, so I will be posting more info such as cost, etc, as I have the info.

The wheels section of today's San Diego Union Tribune had an article on it, but with admission prices, the website doesn't say anything about prices, I anticipate clubs get a discount, I can't get a hold of one of the organizers but will for sure see him on Monday, so I will have a better answer for you then.

well when she complains i spend more time on the car than with her, i point out the car is close to 40 years old. and i def. met the car first. Wink

acutally she doesnt mind at all, she thinks its hot that guys my age work on cars. (still in high school) its just that i think this would be pushin it one notch too far (no pun intended)

UPDATE: For those interested in joining us for Breakfast, then cruising to the Coronado Speed Festival/Car show. We will be meeting at PERRY'S CAFE at 6:30-7:00 am, this Sunday morning. Their address is: 4620 Pacific Highway, San Diego, CA 92110. They are located across the street from the old town trolley. I will be there at 6:30, to reserve a big corner booth/table, and I'll have a 1500 Club sign on the table so you won't miss me. Hit this thread back if you intend on coming, we'll be leaving around 7:45 am to cruise to the show. See you there!
