I recently acquired a '64 walkthru standard and the driver's seat is sort of an odd duck. The seat tracks are about 1/2" too wide for the bus. As a test, I grabbed the driver's seat from my '64 single, which fits perfectly into the bus.

So can you identify this seat? Is it from an earlier walkthru? Mystery seat on the left, known '64 driver's seat on the right.

Thanks!

Thanks, Lind! What makes it '62-only?

Thanks, Lind! What makes it '62-only?

the right side seat track bolts to the body, rather than being welded like the later units. also, the arm and plate that lock the seat into place are on the seat track, not the seat. one year only, and not interchangeable.

I have been looking for a '62 walk through bus for about a year. I would really like to get a mouse grey/pearl white 15 window, but I would settle for any model as long as the condition was right. it is proving to be a hard bus to find.
