I thought it would be cool to get an original ghia interior thread going
To inspire people to go og!
All years…Cabs and Coupes...
Please post up your pics – ideally pics showing original door panels, original seats upholstery, and original carpets…if this is contained in one picture, all the better
Condition is not important – as long as they’re og
Be top to list year, paint colour,Coupe or Cab…

I’ll start with these 4:

1960 Pearl White (L87) Cab

1960 Paprika Red (L452) Coupe
colour tbc
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

Notice the two 1960 Ghias above have the Lowlight door panels and the 59/60 ribbed dashtop. No bulkhead rubber mat

1961/2 Pampas Green (L384) Cab
colour and year tbc
Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

1961/2 Black (L81) Cab
year tbc

The American owner of this Black Cab was now living in Sweden IIRC, and had brought his very original Cab over with him.
Check the patina on the top of the door, and that threadbare carpet…keep it!! We had a top little chat about the interior

All Ghias as seen at GMH05

1956 Black (L41) coupe[b]

Here's a shot of my interior, the grey has faded over time and the seats are pretty fecked!

This is what it should look like, minus the red mat!

Correct me if I'm wrong but L41 (black) never came with red in '56.

If we're not talking OG there must be a few out there.

Rock....I almost pulled the trigger and bought this....Kev sent me over 100 pics and what a beaut! But in the end....it would have drained my account too much and I desperately want to get started on one of my lowlights....!!!

Wasn't that interior incredible? And the top looked as new as the day it was made.....

Looks like hardware store indoor outdoor carpet was cut for the mats. Still, the rest of the interior is pretty clean.

RockStock,

Great post! Thanks for the useful reference pics. FWIW, here are some shots of an 1959 Aerosilver interior that shows the color of knobs and a detail of the seat insert fabric:

It looks like the steering column, parking brake, etc., are "silver beige"... am I correct? The rubber is meant to be dark green, but in every example I've seen looks almost black. Of course, I'm a terrible photographer -- any clearer images showing the color of the rubber (which I think is the same in a Bamboo coupe) would be appreciated.

What is that edge under the dash pad? My 1959 doesn´t have that.
Know this appears on later cars but haven´t seen it on a 59 year model. Rolling Eyes
