They're mushrooms that only grow under cars that will never again see road use. _________________

A year or so ago a friend of mine found this early 58 coupe and recently sold it to me. It made my 59 just about complete along with a few other Ghias

I dunno…it’s been repainted. Why would someone need to repaint a car with that low of miles? I’m guessing accident damage? But the repaint really takes away a big chunk of its value. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

This looks like real potential. Definitely need more pics and info to be sure. But if it was on the east coast, or if I was on the west coast, I'd be giving this some serious consideration

From what I can see of the interior it looks original and nice, wonder if the paint is original? Boring color combination but who cares if it’s all original! _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Yeah, the interior looks all original, and I think that's even the original chromed plastic dash trim, not the aluminum repro. I'd be curious if it still has the original drivetrain. I agree, definitely not the most exciting color combo. But if this car doesn't have any rot, and has never had any bodywork done, it's gonna be a hell of a deal for someone. I wouldn't be surprised if the next owner puts it on BAT. Hell if I was in the northwest and close enough to see this car in person, that's what I'd be doing! _________________ Currently own:

Samba is the worst place to sell a Ghia like that. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Because most people on the Samba think it’s the 90s when it comes to Ghia values and very few VW people seem to appreciate Ghias. Nice Cars get top value on BAT. I guess if you don’t care about getting top value this is a good place to sell.
Samba is a good place to sell a project car or maybe a turdy car. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Same car again, but from a different seller saying he's listing it for a buddy. Alot more info this time. Funny how some folks just don't know how to sell things.
The seller's friend here seems more knowledgeable on how to sell a Ghia.
Bare metal repaint in '01, but not body-off. A later model H-code single port engine built to 1600. Engine bay isn't body color. Small bit of rust near the front trunk gutter drain. Interior is totally original. Probably a fair price, if not a hair underpriced, for an older restoration in a somewhat boring color combo that's getting a little worn around the edges. _________________ Currently own:

If it were Sea Blue or a some other color it would have sold by now.
Color is a big deal when it comes to classic cars and that is about as plain Jane as you can get. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

61 Ghia Vert. All original, paint, upholstery, transaxle and ad says rebuilt engine so not sure if it's the original engine? Complete and drivable. Only 46K miles. Not in new condition but looks amazing for all original. Door panels are beautiful. Asking price is $40K. Seems low doesn't it?
Spare wheel is painted red in the center but the rest of the wheels are all white. Are the wheels on the car supposed to have a red center? _________________ Marc
