The comercial pays for the video. It only last 15 seconds or so. _________________ hEY, lOOK, i'M WRONG HALF THE TIME, AND THE OTHER HALF i'M NOT SURE WHAT THE HECK i'M TALKING ABOUT. MY POST ARE FOR MY OWN ENTERTAINMENT VALUE ONLY. |

Thanks for the link James!
I know this event was about peak hp and tq, but, being a bus owner, can you tell us who had the flattest tq curve? _________________ 1974 Thing |

here's the numbers my motor made on Jakes Dyno,
RPM Torque HP
3000 143 82
3500 158 105
4000 174 132
4500 199 171
5000 196 187
5500 190 199
6000 184 210
6500 161 200
I was down 9 hp and 17 ft-lbs of torque in California because I believe I had a stuck float from the carb bouncing around on the long trip out there, should have packed it better. Chico tapped the carb and got it working, but i believe it stuck open. Just my story and i'm sticking to it _________________ hEY, lOOK, i'M WRONG HALF THE TIME, AND THE OTHER HALF i'M NOT SURE WHAT THE HECK i'M TALKING ABOUT. Great job James!
I also agree yours and berg's were most likely the real deal for true street engines.
Will you be running that engine at Farmington on Sun.? |

James,
That's awesome. Were those 48 Dellortos? If so, how much do you think you would lose with 45s? Just curious since that's what I'm gong to be using.
Are there specs on the motors somewhere? I'm most interested in yours but would like to see the specs on all of them.
Thanks,
Jim |

This is pretty steep. Max HP at 4500 RPM? What kind of cam is this?
It will be something to see an ultrawide powerband curve....max HP in the 7500 RPM range.
How big was this motor? |

Max hp is at 6000, max torque is at 4500.
motor is 2332. Powerband is pretty wide IMHO, pulls third gear at idle to 7000 rpm.
You could put it in third gear and go from Zero to 102 mph without shifting, not sure how the powerband could be any wider? _________________ hEY, lOOK, i'M WRONG HALF THE TIME, AND THE OTHER HALF i'M NOT SURE WHAT THE HECK i'M TALKING ABOUT. MY POST ARE FOR MY OWN ENTERTAINMENT VALUE ONLY.
