It was actually at $68k or $69k not too long ago, now it's back up to $70k. It's tough to sell anything right now, it's the wrong time of year, and people are being very picky about what they spend money on. I'm sure if my super clean '65 was a few years older, it may have sold by now. I thought everyone loved super original cars, but it seems like everyone wants ovals, splits, or buses and not 58-on cars.

You '64 experts need to chime in here. But it sure looks like a TMI brown interior on this 20k car. I thought it should be the corded pattern. Brings to question a lot more about the "original" claim. No excuse to hawk a car with a krylon primered fender. Seems about 12k high for a plain white incorrectly done car to me.

It should have the cord material, but like with the 65 only covers for my 65, they seemed to split easy and are always replaced. You almost never see 64’s or 65’s with their original seat covers. That dude is definitely dreaming at $20k, I’m sure some think I’m dreaming with what I want for my 65, but my 65 puts that 64 to shame in originality and cleanliness.

Def wrong seat material….. And a WAY overpriced car !!

Is that a big hole in the dash between the light/wiper switches?
Headliner is not correct either

Lol, the one and only picture he put up definitely doesn’t help his case. Then again, that one picture is all we need to see that a cleaner car could easily be found.

I'd buy the first one. It has an extra picture! And it's worth more! Very Happy

The first one says OBO so I'd offer them less than the 2nd one and see what happens. Smile

Admin note: I contacted these people about the duplicate ads as a couple people had reported it to me and asked what was going on

No kidding. What he needs to have on his Dec. 7th calendar is to call the VW museum or Barrett Jackson. That car needs to be part of a charity auction or something. Let the heavy hitters at BJ go crazy over it. It's an auction car- not a classified ad car.

I think he know's it's worth at auction which I bet would be in the $50k range. I think he's fishing on this site to see if he could get someone to offer him $65k.

nice car, although with the shape, 41,000 miles is hard to believe unless there's every piece of paperwork to prove it. Easily lots of things to say 141,000 miles which is still amazing for the year

I know that car very well, I missed two chances to buy it for a lot less. There were a few things I questioned as well, but it’s still a clean car. It is overpriced though, especially for having a full respray on the outside. It’s also $6000 higher than what he paid a year ago, and nothing has been done to it.

Yep, nice looking car, but the respray hurts the value, even if it is 41K miles. 6k less would be more in the range if the documents are there...
