Well if the guy advertising it is the third owner that would be two owners that actually drove it. Either way a tall claim. Maybe 115k but damn those seats are nice. I’d actually consider this if I was closer and in the market. |
If this VW was near me, I'd be over looking at it right now. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

I know, it’s next to impossible to find a 64 with the original seat covers . I wonder if the tamper proof seal is in tact on the speedometer cable? |
Or at least not ripped to shit. I have the original ones for mine but they were well beyond saving. _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

How much less info could he provide?!

Is it me, or is that a comparatively new looking roof rack considering all the patina on that thing? Price is high, but actually looks very original for the most part. _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

Could have bought it for $3500. I think if he sticks to his price, he'll be taking it with him... |

Wasting your breath. Apparently the consensus around here is low mileage cars needing a full restoration are hiding in every garage these days. Guess I have a 16k mile 64 in my garage with two repaints, a replaced front clip, engine and interior!! _________________ 1960 Indigo Blue Ragtop (Blue Barry)

of all the cars I've owned the worst two for unreliability or needing things replaced were the two low mileage ones. I'd rather have an unrestored but driven all its life car... |

I agree. Both cars will need everything, but on the driven car you're performing weekend services as the car's steward. On the low mileage car you're saying, "Come on, another leak. can't I just enjoy the thing?" _________________

“…built with the best parts…” such as those bumpers.
All that text, and not a word about the heater(?) nor what year the car is. '65, I guess.
