I didnt realize that those Firestone, Tag Heuer, Marchal and other decals or PAINTINGS added that much. I actually see about $8-$12,000 without them. $70,000 sure doesnt buy much anymore! |

You think mine is cheap? I haven’t had a single inquiry, so I was thinking it was priced too high. I don’t want to take any less, so I’ll probably just keep it if I don’t get any bites. I only listed it because I want something not as original that I can lightly customize, but I may end up doing it to this one if it doesn’t sell. I’ll just keep all of the original stuff to swap back out later. I never do anything that can’t be easily reversed anyway. |

If I was naming parts, they would all probably be named like this. Kudos to this guy for being honest!

edit: anyone want to help him out with the proper name? It must be tough pricing something if you don't know what it is. _________________ -Harry

Not anybody that isnt ready for the asylum would pay that kind of money. A 5-$600 bumper on its best day isnt at all worth$2100. I bought one in Virginia last year still boxed for $450 and later thought I was shafted. But, pricing is up to the individual............He will only have it once, and once will be long enough at $2100. |

If it's cheaper than replating an existing one, you can consider it worth it (if you are staying original). _________________ -Harry

I don't know. If the description is to be believed, it's had a good "sympathetic" mechanical restoration and is all original. I've seen plenty of '58s that were less original selling for 20k. _________________ 1971 Super Beetle |
