Nothing helps sell a car better than insulting your potential buyers.
$14,500 is way over priced. "Needs very little "😅

Weird, he posted once in the forum, someone called him out that day for using the forum to "advertise" his car (that particular post was deleted), then I looked at his ad a day later and it said "sold," or something weird like that went down. Not it's apparently NOT sold.

That is a bit aggressive way to start your add for sure. It does look to my eyes there is a lot of orange peel in the paint as well. At least it has dealer option wiring..........

I saw the orange peel too.

I don't know what he means by the facebook marketplace comment.
Maybe people telling him to put it on Facebook too?

It looks like the seller just joined theSamba ----but wasn't there a guy on here a few years ago (also named "Shane") who argued about everything
and finally got pissed off enough to quit? Confused

Yes, thanks for the heads up.

It was this user "shane red" although he changed his name at some point:
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=14784

He's banned but I think he asked to be banned and I granted his request.

I remember him attacking anyone who criticized his ads, unless I am thinking of someone else - you may be able to see that in his post history above.
He definitely was getting into some arguments with a lot of other members here.

"Nate" has two ads up for this overpriced car...one is $34k, the other is $32k.

We get to see his finger in this ad:

Rolling Eyes
But we get to see his plate in this ad:

https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2586232 Here's the other ad for the same car. The pictures even more so tell a potential buyer who they're handing their money to.

And dealers like this wonder why they get classed as parasites...... One has to wonder the sins covered up on the pan by that sheet metal, I'm sure they didn't go with it to clean up the aero under the car.......

I never did like those aftermarket sunroofs. Thinking it had a metal sunroof, but was covered up? Personally, the price seems a little high.

Save yourself a trip. That car has not been happy since the camaro sunroof got cut in. There are better '67s with a more trustable engine story. It will never be worth 5 figures with that roof cut into it.

That sunroof looks more like a Pep boys special. I haven't followed the rising prices of the Beetle in a while . It seems to be catching up to the bus which seems to have stalled . I saw a 'nice 62 double cab recently for under 30k.

That was a standard aftermarket sunroofs we use to install in the late 80's at the Audio shop I worked in.

or for only $11,499 more, you could have this one with a pretty blue interior.

Yowza! Is this really the going price for 2 sets of Robri gravel guards? I agree that they look to be in mint/near mint condition, but $2500? Maybe I'm just being naive?

Glad its not just me thinking this. I also thought the complete set had the little step thing for the running board as well. My set came with that I thought they all did.
