Probably raises the price every time someone wants to actually buy it because it was "too cheap". |
It takes some serious dedication to keep a car listed for that long lol. |

I read it, and I'm really impressed with the ad. Maybe not $45K impressed, but there is some serious provenance there, which can be worth a lot. _________________ -Harry

I am a big fan of provenance too, but I'd admire this car a whole lot more if there was more than just a bit of "original" left of it. |

That’s how I am, I like as much originality as possible, but it’s not always possible with cars that actually get used. I like the story on this one, and Gary Beck always has stellar cars, so this one must be nice. On the other hand, I personally wouldn’t pay big money for something just because of the story. Every single one of these cars has a story, and I personally don’t think that adds any value. I don’t care if Jennifer Aniston sat naked in the back seat, that doesn’t add value to something for me. I’m sure some people would pay big money just to sniff the seat, but to me, all asses smell like shit at some point. |

Nice looking car! However, that may be NOS seat material - but it wasn't for 67. I don't know if I've ever seen "NOS" seat material... _________________ -Harry

When someone says restored, full restoration, etc and I see the engine with the wrong distributor I ask myself what else is not original. _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]
Classic Brands. Classic Quality.
Not all parts are made the same. NOS OE/OEM parts made mainly in West Germany, Early Germany, and Early Brazil are where VW produced the best quality parts and best fitting products.

Priced to sell... $6,500 OBO.
Even without an engine, if this is pretty dry, I'd jump all over it if I were looking to get in the game...
