Went for a ride yesterday when I got back I could hear the fuel boiling in the bowl. Need your thoughts.

Scott, move this to the regular thread. This section is for gripes—not mechanical issues.

Not a bad looking car until you read about it and look carefully

Looks like they buckled the floor by lifting it w/the fork at that spot.
[EDIT] Although, they did point out that it needs new floors. _________________ Eventually, "we are what we pretend to be.’”

Yup- they lifted a convertible with a forklift! If it didn't need entire floor work before, it sure does now- along with body alignment. _________________

If the engine runs ok and has good compression and you're bored, you could double your money stripping it and selling off the parts.
BTW, I don't see a new fuel pump either.. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

Look at the nuts on the generator pedestal flange. 1 appears to be the kind with the plastic insert (sorry, I forget what they are called) and 1 is loose...not sure I trust the rebuild. Not enough attention to detail for my taste (at least not for $1900.) _________________ Chris & Chris

Was this a factory produced car? Would VW put T-bar bumpers and a stroker motor in a commemorative Beetle? I can't see that.
Also, why no pics of the engine? Interior? Trunk? Chassis? |
