Victor- Yes, the free shipping peaked my interest!
Almost Heaven- Clearly the seller can't tell the difference between a dull, aged zinc plating (which is what the clamp has) and chrome.
The original VW hold down clamps were zinc plated. I strip and re bright zinc plate a few original clamps every weekend. Oh, I also replace the rounded over nuts too.

But it is "very rare!" They only put them in every car that rolled off the line.

$140 seems super high to me but it's nice to have a physical copy.
I've sold tons of used owner's manuals over time... never for that much money though unless it was something actually super hard to find like a Split Bug manual

At least is cheaper than a few of the bugs I’ve seen advertised in the Samba Classifieds ((Bugs 1968 and Up). A few hopefull owners are asking $26,000 and Up for their late-model Bugs. “Restored” of course.
The problem is, they want ten or fifteen thousand more than they’re worth.

I've emailed this guy to point out that's not a 55 body on a later pan but an oval clip job....but have had no response, if it has his 'personal written warranty' then it is his problem. can't spell buddhist either, better watch out for bad karma
