I have bought and sold many parts with Russ and every transaction has been fast and exactly as agreed to.
I met him at the myrtle creek invasion and he and his wife are top calibre people. Truely one in a million.
I will buy from him again as soon as i figure out what i need . (and he will have it)
Thank you Russ and Happy Retirement. _________________ Alex Sundberg

Russ builds and installs simply awesome engines -- he recently finished and delivered my 1776 and it is exactly what I was hoping for: smooth and powerful, plus I know it was built properly and will be durable enough for a daily driver.
Highly recommended! _________________ póg mo thóin

Russ rebuilt a set of 40hp heads and rockers for me. He did an EXCELLENT job for a very reasonable price, he knows his VWs. I would definitely do business with him again in the future. _________________ 1964 Type 1 Sedan |

I just got a thermostat from Russ, fast shipping at a good price, he even tossed in a t-stat bracket, to my surprise!
I would gladly buy from him again! _________________ BWD

I had a chance to go straight to the source, while hitching a ride to the Type 3 Invasion, and made a massive score of parts for my 72 Super and my son's 65 Beetle. Russ was playing Monty Hall -- Let's Make a Deal! Door panels, quarter panels, kick panels, interior mirror, fuel sending unit, floor mats, and an exterior trim kit. All brand new and in perfect condition. Whatever you need there's a chance Russ has it, and you won't be disappointed. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. I ordered a late model cooling fan and got it without a hitch. Even after some mind changing on my part. Thanks Russ. _________________ If you`re going to do something, do it right. |

Just another positive word to say about Russ. I needed a hard to find Type 3 part. He had it, sent it right out and it was a very fair price.
I just wish every seller was like him.
Thanks Russ. _________________ Feel My Pain l Sage Ad World |

I purchased a fuel pressure regulator from Russ two weeks ago. His price was right and the delivery was extremely punctual! I've read several other comments/complements about Russ from other buyers & feel very comfortable coming back to him in the future. _________________ Current:

With all the positive feedback Russ gets, I shouldn't go into the detail of my dealing with him. Let's just say he isn't too keen on customer support. I will never give Russ another dime, nor heed another promise he makes.
So it goes.
He doesn't need to make my purchase right. It's way too late for that. I believe my patience has run out at the right time.
Keep my money and go !@^# yourself, Russ. Making fun of my purchase from you in chat a couple weeks back only makes it harder to take you seriously. I thought you might try to make it right at that point.
Asking again for my mailing address was a nice touch as well.
Not delivering on the promises you made to me is enough for you to lose my trust as a customer (person) forever.
Have a nice day.
And potential customers, if you have already, don't ever trust Russ at his word again. It's nothing but a delay for inevitable disappointment. |

I bought an air flow meter that was bad from the Bentley ohm test in June. He told me he'd make it right a few times. He even told me he had another one that tested good and he'd get it out to me. Still waiting.
Buy used parts: expect junk. Thanks for the lesson.
I only sought his expertise because Tram advised me to try him for a good part at a good price.
I got a good price. That is all. |

I spaced you off. Sorry. I forgot all about getting it shipped.
PM me your address, again, and I will get it out tomorrow.
You said you were not in a hurry because the car wasnt where you could get at it.
I never made fun of you in chat. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

When I mentioned to Dave that I had no running VWs at the moment, you posted, "Yeah, because I keep forgetting to send out his part." To me that was you mocking me. Have you seen me in chat since? |

That was my joking way of making fun of myself for not shipping the part.
Your part went out priority mail today. You should have it Monday or Tuesday.
I am extremely sorry about my screw up.
And, BTW, I would like the old one back. They do have core value to the rebuilders.
Parcel post is OK. Cheapest way. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey
