I purchased some parts from Martin. Good response. Phone communication good. e-mail responses incomplete. shipped fast. packaging poor.
One part offered as NOS is rebuilt. Some offered parts missing or miscommunicated.
Martin offered "Full refund with return of all parts" as a resolution.
Edit:
To clariy: Martin did supply me with part #s NOS parts and as I buyer I could have verified the number and did not. I have no reason to believe he realized it either.

I have a beef with one Martin Serrano.
Last Sept. I purchased what I thought would be a set of usable 'used' 356 hubcaps. They were not cheap, $120.+shipping and they were pretty much scrap metal. The badges were bent and badly chipped, and the hubcaps were pretty well dented and scratched and rusty, not to mention the attempts by someone to tap the dents out of them made me feel even more dumb for buying them. When I contacted the merchant his response was ...'sorry you didn't like them' and All my ads read All SALES FINAL! I should have thought something was up when Martin sent me a shipping notice stating... " Enjoy."
I have read in this forum some complaints about Martin Serrano and I have to add my name to that list. He sold me outright junk.
I know there are plenty of defenders of this guy and that is OK, those buyers were obviously happy with what they bought. I'm not.
I personally do not think this vendor is an honest guy. If he is,.. then why does he need a no refund/all sales final policy?
JMHO
I will post some photos in the next week of what I am talking about.

NOS doesn't mean perfect.

I never stated they were perfect, I sent him pictures of the dents and pitting, nor did I mean any harm when I stated " Enjoy" Hey now I am getting nailed for sending a good Vibe?
What's up with people? BTW He purchased them in Sept or Oct and emailed me around Feb or March.

I am leaning toward your side in this. I wanted the buyer to post pictures nowing you would chime in and ID them if they where the actual set you sent in. Since you posted this I believe you. I sell things here and know it can be iffy at times. Good vibes is what this hobby is all about good job .

Just bought some type 3 tail light lenses, and they arrived very quickly and are just as described. I also previously bought some adjustable spring plates from him and had no problems.

I bought a set of type 3 carbs and manifolds from Martin. They were exactly as he described them and were very reasonably priced. I bought them on Saturday-He shipped them on Monday and they got to me on Wednesday. I am not sure what the guy who opened this threads problem is but I couldn't ask for better

I bought an early T3 window crank from Martin...he accurately described the handle, was responsive to my emails and shipped it very quickly. I hope to buy more from him in the future.

Beef with Martin.

I sold a T3 rear latch back in January of 09, a few days later Louisville experienced the biggest ice storm we've had in years. Power was out in some places over two weeks. My power was only out a few days, had a few down trees, after a week the ice melted and cleanup began. Yes after all that I forgot to ship the part, my bad. Instead of sending me a reminder email Martin waited 3 months and filed a claim with PayPal. In two days he was able to leave notes saying he had not heard from me, well no duh, how about sending me an email dude? It takes less time then filing the dispute did.

I refunded his full amount and will re list the part in a few days, making sure NOT to sell to him, seems to not be a reputable buyer, seller beware.

You say he waited 3 months to file a claim. Three months from when? I dont know what your calender looks like and maybe I cant count but this is March where is the third month? 2nd you admit you forgot then get mad because he did not remind YOU!!!!!!! GIVE US A BREAK. If I had to wait for 2 months for parts and no communication from the seller I would to file a claim too. Ok so now since I defended Martin you will never sell to me either that ok no worries.

Martin what latch do you need since this seller wont sell to you anymore I will look around for you at the junk yards swaps etc for you.

Wow, you two guys in bed or something? Guess living in Cali you don't know what it's like to have your entire neighborhood under a inches of ice and worry that your family is going to be OK. Dude I'm not mad, but it's like if you loan a tool to a buddy and they just forget they've got it, you ask and they say sure here ya go. After the 3rd or 4th week this nut could have dropped me a line, as I've done in the past (two other times in the YEARS I've been selling stuff online) I normally refund shipping, take a hit and say sorry. I'd rather be out a few bucks to make the buyer happy because they may buy again, he didn't even offer me that chance. So yeah screw it.

I've bought things off the samba and had to remind the seller several times, stuff happens in peoples life, it's not all about you.

NO we are not in bed together what a stupid remark. Your panties get in a wad because someone answers your ad/buys something from YOU and they dont remind YOU to send the part. That is your responsibility not his. As for weather related problems dude this is California we get hit with a shit load more than Kentucky. Lets think this out Earthquakes, Floods, Snow Storms ice storms not to mention wild fires to name a few. So stop whinnig about Ice storms. Look I understand shit happens but your talking shit when someone dosent remind you to do your job thats an excuse not a reason. Had you e-mailed Martin when you where going through the tough times then realized YOU forgot you collected money for a part I am sure he or any understanding normal rational person would have been on your side. Talk shit to me all you want but step back and ask yourself if I may be correct. I offer to help Martin because he is a type3 brother I have never met although he is located in my part of the world and that is what this hobby is all about no more no less.

Part of being a seller requires a shipping time frame wich both buyer and seller agree is reasonable. Reasonable means a week or so for Domestic shipping, but come on, 7 weeks. I've had stuff shipped from the other side of the world arrive in less than a week. Jash, admit it, you screwed up! Now you never mentioned the email where you stated about the ice storm and I said it was cool. What about the email on Feb. 25 and on March 4th. We can go babbling about this all day long. Your actions proved irresponsability and no one is to blame but you. Now insulting Don, does not make you a better person. He is just stating the facts. Banning him from your customer database is as idiotic as your forum response. Thank you Don for stepping up and defending me, Martin whom you never met. You are a true type 3 brother!

It's not all about you, either. You get paid for the part, you ship it. Simple. That "it's not all about you" indicates that you could not care less about customer service. Yeah, Martin's the "bad guy", all right. Rolling Eyes Which one of you actually held up his end of the deal? That's what I thought.

Please add me to your "do not deal with" list also, just in case I screw up and order something from you some day. Thanks in advance.

I am looking forward to you banning me as a buyer. As a wise man here said it is not about you. I hope you have learned something from this. Martin again send me info on the part you tried to purchase from jashv
I will do my best to locate it for you.

I answered an ad for a mint ultima edicion from Martin recently. As this was a big buck purchase I was worried about the long distance transaction, however the whole deal was smooth, from early emails and phone conversation through inspection and on to delivery. The car arrived as stated in the ad, in mint unused condition and I couldn't be more pleased. Martin even included extra materials (newspaper articles, etc.). My experience dealing with him was very positive. As far as I am concerned this seller is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Also I found the following shipper to be very communicative, competitively priced and overall excellent:
