My two “bays in the snow” pics.

This one is a bus I owned in college, circa 1979, taken in Aspen CO on a cross-country trip.

A photo of my current ride... sorry, this is as close as I get this baby to the snow. Smile

What's wrong with just pointing them straight out/up?

If you put something over them, wouldn't that make things worse?
It seems to me a tube slid over the wiper arms would make the 'ledge' the snow sits on even larger. Wouldn't the wiper arms then be holding the additional weight of the tube and more snow?

Hello, ^^^^ That is what we do up here, flip em up......
If you can. I have to use a block under my Dodge 2500s wipers, they don't flip up.

Had to drag a piece of steel out of the creek bed. Who knew a Volvo station wagon wouldn't work ? So I had to bring the workhorse out of storage to get the job done.

Confused Question huh?
what's that?
I am not one bit afraid to make myself look dumb if I can learn something and become less dumb. Embarassed Razz

Sorry, poorly written

Make wiper standoffs by rolling tubes which then hold the wipers off the glass.

You put them in up,and down so they don’t snag snow

OK I think the concept is getting through my dense skull Razz

You still flip them out, like I'm used to, but you have a 'cover' to keep them from getting all frozen up, and being round, the snow falls off the tubes.

Now I can see it! Thanks.

Sorry for the questions. Back to snow pictures. Cool

Damn, if I had something like that monster, I might actually look forward to snow!

Maybe.

So any conversion pictures? I had an 87 syncro once. You have the best of both worlds there.

I’ll dump a bunch of stuff in the build thread so I don’t clog this one up. Short answer... some kinks to work out but it is incredible, wish I had the time and resources to do it to my other buses.

All said, we got about 18" of snow over the weekend. This much snow this quickly is uncommon in this area, but we're enjoying it all the same.
